Umsobomvu voucher programme and Prodigy
The Umsobomvu voucher programme is a system where a business can apply for a service like web based marketing, branding and design of business forms, business plans ect and only pay a once-off R200 for it. The fund then appoints a service provider to complete the work for the client and then pays the service provider for the work done. The R200 is a once off payment and all other outstanding fees are settled by the fund, which means that should you fall within the category, you can get the same quality work for just R200!
As of July 2008, Prodigy is a official service provider for the Umsobomvu Youth Fund, and can offer our clients 2 primary products through the voucher programme, called web based marketing and branding and design of business forms.
Although it may sound like a lot of effort at first, this programme is ideal for starting businesses or small businesses which has the desire to have their own web site or branding package, but does not have the startup fees to be able to afford it. Prodigy takes care of all of the paperwork, applications ect which means you do not have to worry about a thing! Once approved we complete the project and before you know it you have your own web presence or professional brand and all for just R200!

Can I apply for both vouchers?
Yes you can, however, only 1 voucher gets approved at a time. The first voucher is the web based marketing voucher so that when we design your branding items later we can use your correct new email address and web site address on your paperwork.
Who can apply and requirements?
- Any business situated in the Northern Cape
- Any male between the ages of 18 – 35
- Any female above the age of 18
- The applicant must be the owner, partner or member of the business
- If the business is registered as a CC, a copy of the CC documents and a short company profile is required. If you do not have a company profile, Prodigy can assist you at no extra charge!
- If the business is a sole owner or partnership, a letter stating this is required.
- A copy of the applicants ID and CV is required. If you do not have a CV, Prodigy can assist you at no extra charge.
Things YOU SHOULD KNOW!
- This is not a promotion and clients can be declined by the voucher programme should Umsobomvu see the business is not fit to apply. Prodigy has no say with regards to the approval of the voucher, we can only provide the fund with all the required information.
- Applicants can wait as long as 2 months before getting a final answer if they have been approved. Once we hand in the application form, we have no control of the duration before approval.
- You have no risk that the government, Umsobomvu or Prodigy has any say, change of ownership, partnership or contract with your business. You merely apply for a voucher, and once approved and completed, your affiliation ends and you do not risk ever loosing assests or any other thing.
- You only pay the R200 for the voucher after you have been approved, so should you be declined for what so ever reason, you do not risk to loose any money!
